Phil Zuckerman is Professor of Sociology at the Pitzer College, he specializes in in the Sociology of Scandinavian countries. [1]

Phil Zuckerman is an American sociology professor and writer, teaching at Pitzer College, California, and the author of several books, including Society Without God (2008) for which he won Foreword Magazine's silver book of the year award, and Faith No More (2011) [2][3].


In 2011 he taught the first Secular Studies degree to be offered in the United States[2].

He lists his research interest as Secularity, Atheism, Apostasy, and Scandinavian culture[4].
