I am a preclinical pharmacologist with a research career in preclinical pharmacology in areas of drug discovery in autoimmune disease and cancer. I am a past Trustee of the British Pharmacological Society and am an SFHEA, having taught and examined a wide variety of medical and pharmacological subjects to MBBS, BPharm and a vairiety of BSc degrees. I have also worked in the field of palliative care support and education, and volunteer for St John Ambulance. I am Chair of the Order of St John Wiltshire County Priory Group, which supports the operations and fundarising of St John Ambulance in the County of Wiltshire, and am an Ambulance First Responder. I am a Trustee of the League of Mercy Foundation which celebrates healthcare and youth charity volunteers of exceptional merit for their outstanding dedication to their cause.
