Storylines

edit

Nina first appears onscreen in May 2014, waking up from her coma. Nina arrives in Port Charles, shocking everyone including her husband Silas Clay (Michael Easton). Nina finds it difficult to adjust to the changes around her. She meets her grown up brother Nathan West, Kiki Jerome, Silas' daughter with Ava and his girlfriend Sam Morgan which leads to her accepting the end of her marriage which she has been trying to save before she went to coma. It was revealed that Nina woke up from coma long time before she came to Port Charles and that she was responsible for trashing Silas' apartment a few months back. She wants revenge from everyone who hurt her. She briefly married Ric Lansing on May 18, 2015.

In November 2015, Nina went to Crimson magazine and got herself a job at Julian Jerome company as an editor-in-chief since the former had left the magazine. She worked closely with Maxie Jones and newcomer Dillon Quartermaine (Robert Palmer Watkins). In October 2018, a DNA test was arranged by Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) that confirmed Sasha Gilmore as her daughter; however, it was later revealed that Valentin had hired her to pretend to be her daughter. In April 2020, it's revealed that Nelle Benson is her daughter and she has a grandson named Wiley.
