Bowofoluwa Olufisayo Odunsi known professionally as Odunsi (the Engine) is a Nigerian Afro-fusion singer, songwriter and music producer.[1][2]
Early life and education edit
Odunsi was born in Lagos and dropped out of a university in Ghana in 2015. Attention deficit hyperactive disorder was identified as the reason why he dropped out of school.[1]
Musical career edit
He began his musical career in 2016 when he released his EP titled Time Of Our Lives.[2][3] His debut album titled Rare was released in October 2018.[1] He has identified Prince, Sade, Yinka Ayefele and hip hop group, Trybesmen as his musical influences. He is referred to as one of the pioneers of Alté music in Nigeria.[4][5]
He got signed to Warner/Chappell Music in 2018.[1][2]
His single "Star Signs" was featured in the soundtrack of Netflix series, Sex Education.[6]
