Parents: Gordon Ferguson Carr and Josephine Renzi Carr

The Carr family resided in Jefferson County, New York since the early 1700's when James Carr bought a farm in Adams Center, New York. Jim Carr is also related to the Van Dyke family of Pennsylvania. John Van Dyke was a veteran of the American Revolution. Jim Carr is also related to the Charles Ferguson of Elmira, New York a beloved pastor of the Methodist church there. Members of the family were associated with the Abolitionist movement in America during the mid-1800's. Many members of this family served and died in the American Civil War serving in the Union Army.

Jim Carr was the founder of Real Estate Research Associates in 1982, a commercial real estate market research company. In 1985, he developed Williamsburg Crossing Shopping Center in Williamsburg, VA. In the 1990's Jim was a major developer of Rite Aid Pharmacies during the height of their growth -- completing over 50 stores for them. Most recently he has developed shopping centers in California, Pennsylvania and Virginia in various partnerships with other developers. Currently he serves as President of Vistacor Incorporated, a commercial real estate research and consulting firm.

Jim Carr is also the founder of QSR Concepts, a restaurant management company and franchisee of Zpizza.
