Slide 1 edit

The reason for leaving straw, is to keep the soil soft. If the straw was not there, the soil would not stay cool, as the Sun would harden the soil.

Slide 2 edit

Yet, most farmers fully plough their fields 3, 4, or 5 times before sowing, leaving no straw, and causing the soil to dry quickly.

Slide 3 edit

By using a 2 wheel tractor, with a specially designed attachment box, the seed and fertilizer, are placed in the soil, at the same time of tilling.

Slide 4 edit

While fertilizer goes through one tube, seeds are dropped one by one through another tube, as the machine, goes forward.

Slide 5 edit

If you remove some of the blades, until only a few narrow strips of land, the stubble is left on the field. This, is known as strip tillage.

Slide 6 edit

The number and position of blades, and tubes, are adjusted, depending upon the crop.

Slide 7 edit

In strip tillage, the soil is covered by rice straw.  The maze plants, grow well, and have a healthy green color.

Slide 8 edit

With strip tillage, our expenses are low. Where we are tilling, is where the seed, and the fertilizer, are placed.  The rest of the soil, stays firm.

Slide 9 edit

The roots of the plants, are in firm soil. The maize plants, don’t lean, and there is no risk of them falling over.

Tillage service providers, and farmers, both benefit by saving fuel, and preparing more fields on time. Growing more, is possible by saving time, water, and money.
