Hiya, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thanks for your edits to RuneScape. However, some things that you have added are not appropriate for Wikipedia. I suggest you read the page Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not to better understand what we can and cannot include in our articles. For example, your page RuneScape Marketplace is not allowed. I hope you enjoy your stay and hope you will provide us with good edits in the future. Hyenaste [citation needed] 20:44, 7 May 2006 (UTC)

RuneScape

edit

Hi. I had to revert some of your edits because those random external links in the middle of sections do not make sense. For example, why would one need to link to RuneScape's quests in the middle of the section on membership? Any external links you want to add should have relevant information written out and footnotes attached. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 20:25, 14 June 2006 (UTC)

Adding bot to Talk page

edit

Please STOP adding the Archive bot "User:Werdnabot" to article Talk pages. While this is appropriate for high-volume, fast-moving pages like the Village pump, and can be used on your Talk page, adding it to article Talk pages is in nearly all situations not appropriate. Discussions will wrongly be archived before there has been opportunity to respond, and in the case of Internet at least, it broke up the chronology of old discussions. In Talk pages, you cannot know whether a comment or question might possibly should remain, waiting for response, for 30 days or more—and certainly not as little as 5 days—and important discussions might need to remain until they are implemented. I have noticed you have added this to pages Talk:Internet and Talk:Beer, what other articles have you added it to?. —Centrxtalk 00:43, 18 June 2006 (UTC)

Also, in cases where there are unsigned comments, the bot disorders the chronology of the sections, and in cases where there are not unsigned comments, it is trivially easy to create an archive yourself. —Centrxtalk 01:14, 18 June 2006 (UTC)

RsNo.JPG

edit

Ok, i've got an alternate version of rs-fan4 using that image, but its a bit fuzzy when scaled down. Do you have an original in Bitmap format? CaptainVindaloo t c e 19:27, 18 June 2006 (UTC)

Emailing won't be necessary. Just open the Bitmap in Microsoft Photo Editor (right click the file, go to 'Open With >'), then Save As. On the save dialog, choose a filename and choose jpeg as usual. Then click the 'More >>' button, and move the slider to the right (Larger File/Good Quality) so the value is about 95, OK, then reupload the file. Thats what I did with Image:ES4 DremoraMarkynaz.JPG. Sorry it took me a while to get back, I would have logged in and replied earlier from school, but the IP is blocked. CaptainVindaloo t c e 17:54, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
My version of XP only has the viewer, so i cant do it that way. p00rleno 13:17, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
Get Irfanview - views many formats and can resave as JPG, or get Photoplus free (some mostly benign adware concerns) - or Photofiltre - last time I tried it, exceptionally "clean", kept to it's own directory, free version at leeast as good as most bundled liteware with scanners/cameras etc. Ace of Risk 14:02, 25 June 2006 (UTC)

RfA thanks!

Thanks for voting!
Hello Poorleno/Old1, and thank you so much for voting in my recent RfA. I am pleased to inform you that it passed with a final tally of (119/1/3), into the WP:100, so I have now been cleared for adminship and will soon be soaring above the clouds. I was overjoyed, shocked, and humbled by the tally, and, most importantly, all the support. Thank you. If there is ever anything you need, you know where you can find me. Take care.

Well, when you use the template, you have to fill in the links yourself. So if you want to use it, do {{User:GeorgeMoney/tricktemplates/newmessages|Link 1|Link 2}} --GeorgeMoney (talk) (Help Me Improve!) 16:07, 26 June 2006 (UTC)

ubx-5 on my userpage

edit

Heh, true. I've already got ubx-n ("This user communicates entirely via userboxes") on my page though, so I might remove it sometime, as well as a few others...

By the way, I've tried to contact you in RuneScape, but you've got private chat set to friends or something. CaptainVindaloo t c e 00:04, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

My username is Combine7. There ought to be a userbox variant linking to a player's hiscores. Hmm... CaptainVindaloo t c e 00:28, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

Your Sig

edit

Er, just so you know, the {{CURRENTDATE}} template you have in your sig displays the date and time when someone accesses a page, the timestamp is supposed to be static. Try using {{subst:CURRENTDATE}}, that'll keep it static. CaptainVindaloo t c e 16:19, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

And you don't really need them in your sig since the fourth tilde (~) activates a full timestamp. Hyenaste (tell) 23:55, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

edit

Huh? What's your IP address that's blocked? If you can edit my talk page you're okay. --Pilotguy (roger that) 23:01, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

License tagging for Image:BLock???.JPG

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:BLock???.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 00:05, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
