About me

edit

Londoner with a BA degree from the Philosophy department (some wacky specialisation).

I'm fascinated by statistics and data interpretation, social psychology, open source philosophy and a plethora of other things, concepts and ideas. I'm always in a conflictual state of awe and disappointment with humanity and I'm a firm believer that one should never stop learning, should criticise with kindness, be willing to change her (or his) mind in the light of new evidence, admit human limitations and biases, and make the best out of any situation.

I'm a volunteer for a local organisation dealing with people with mental and social problems and for a number of online projects, some related to the local community, some within the realm of the Open Source Software movement and communities, and one about intellectual property. And now I'm hoping to be able to bring my humble contribution(s) to the Wikipedia community.

I've been supporting Wikipedia and Creative Commons since 2009, as a donor, evangelist and as an amateur photographer (in the CC case).

My likes

In terms of music, I like not to define any direction for my tastes and I'm grateful whenever I manage to learn to like a new music sub-genre or musical creations. I'm in love with Bohren & der Club of Gore lately.
