I'm a writer - not a programmer non-Linux, surprised? I used Adobe 'everything' & then it was too expensive. But, like my programmers say, "Kimber, 'word' will get your books to us, so you're okay. And Linux is the truth but if you can't afford 2 platforms {as Linux isn't for you... but that's okay) stick with Microsoft and you'll learn more than you realize in no time.)
