Esteban Diego is the most commonly accepted pseudonym for a Brazlilian born nationalist rumoured to have been involved in a number of important controversial political events since 1960 including, famously, the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962.

Links include the Brazilian Portugese National Front, IRA and Russian Mafia.

History edit

Little is known regarding either the birthplace or lineage from which Esteban Diego emerges. Speculation is rife and a number of well-regarded historians and military staff have issued reports which have, at best, blurred the lines between fact and fiction.

First recorded evidence in the form of disclosed FBI subject appraisals points to an 'AE.60' and this could be the origin of the designation for the Brazilian Asset - 'Esteban'. Reports include several references to Esteban with regards to the shipments of missiles to and from Cuba in 1962. Famously he was captured aboard one transport ship, the 'Maritian' and later released on account of limited evidence. It is claimed by some theorists that signifiant amounts of money changed hands in securing the release.

Popular Culture References edit

Speculation suggests that the fictional character 'Keyser Söze', from the movie 'The Usual Suspects', was loosley based on Esteban's early childhood. However, this has yet to be varified by either the movie makers or the man himself.
