Justin Rose and Jason Dufner were promoted to this category after their wins and earned exemptions through 2018.

Woods extended his exemption to 2018; he would fall to cat 2 in 2014. McDowell extended his to 2016, in which year he would fall to cat 9.

Harrington finished in the top 125 of the money list.

2. Winners of the THE PLAYERS Championship in the last 10 calendar years. (Beginning In 1998, this is a five-year exemption.)

Kuchar extended his exemption to 2018, in which year he would fall to cat 9. Stenson extended his exemption to 2018; he would fall to cat 5 in 2015 and cat 7 in 2017.

3. Winners of the Masters Tournament in the last 10 calendar years. (Beginning in 1998, this is a five-year exemption.)

Adam Scott was promoted to this category after his win and earned an exemption through 2018. Mickelson extended his exemption to 2018; he would fall to cat 4 in 2016.

Immelman finished in the 126–150 range and made it through the Finals.

4. Winners of the British Open in the last 10 calendar years (1990-present). (Beginning In 1998, this is a five-year exemption.)

Colsaerts and Hanson finished in the top 125 of the money list. Ishikawa finished in the 126–150 range and made it through the Finals.

21. Major Medical Extension

Goosen met his terms in February, but ultimately needed another medical extension. Sutherland secured conditional status and fell to the non-exempt medical category when his extension expired in July; he finished outside the top 150 and fell to past champion status for good in 2014. Jobe's extension expired in May and he fell to past champion status; he finished in the 126–150 range and landed in the conditional category for 2014. Bryant's expired in February, Ogilvie's in June, and Parnevik's and Short's in July; all four fell to past champion status (for good). Klauk's expired in April and Haas's in May; both became non-members and have never regained membership. Verplank received a carry-over, but also opted to use a top 25 career money exemption for 2014. Kim, Marino, Oberholser, Goydos, Snyder, Hart, Baird, Kuehne, Blanks, and Cóceres received carry-overs; Blanks received an additional medical extension for the reshuffle category.

22. Web.com Tour leading money-winner

Wittenberg finished outside the top 150 and fell short in the Finals; he became a non-member in 2014 and has never regained status.

LeBrun, Karlsson, Percy, Norlander, Fisher, List, Gardiner, Gates, Presnell, Williams, Watkins, Stiles, Park, Gonzales, Svoboda, Haley, Meierdierks, Gove, Letzig, Constable, and Kim finished outside the top 150. Gardiner, Gates, and Williams made it through the finals; Svoboda finished in the top 25 of the Web.com Tour regular-season money list. The other 17 became non-members; LeBrun, Karlsson, Presnell, Watkins, Park, Meierdierks, Gove, Letzig, and Constable have not reached the PGA Tour again.

Pampling, Mayfair, Trahan, Lunde, Petrovic, and Taylor fell to past champion status in 2014 (for good, in Mayfair and Petrovic's cases). Rocha and O'Hern became non-members, and have never regained status.

Flesch's extension expired in August and he fell to past champion status for good. McCarron received a carry-over (and was abruptly promoted to the major medical category).

Kevin Sutherland fell to this category after his medical extension expired in July; he finished outside the top 150 and fell to past champion status for good in 2014.
