Sriram Ramaswamy (born 10 November 1957) is an Indian physicist. He is currently working as a professor in Centre for Condensed Matter Theory in Indian Institute of Science(IISc), Bangalore.
Education edit
Mr. Ramaswamy completed his Bachelor of Science in Physics from University of Maryland in 1977. He was awarded a Ph.D degree by the University of Chicago in 1983. From 1983 to 1986, he did his post doctoral research in the Department of Physics at University of Pennsylvania.
Career edit
Dr. Ramaswamy started his career as a research scientist in the Physics department in Indian Institute of Science. In 2002, he became a professor in the Centre for Condensed Matter Theory in IISc.[1] He is also a member of the Condensed Matter Theory Unit at Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR).[2]
