Horse Ripping

edit

While cattle mutilations have been reported in Europe, the mutilation of horse is a better known phenomena there. Known as Horse ripping or Horse Slashing, there were 160 reported incidents in Britain between 1983 and 1993, and 300 incidents in Germany between 1992 and 1998 [1]). Like cattle mutilation, attacks on horses usually involves cuts to the animals neck and head, and/or the mutilation of the animal's genitals [2].

However Horse Ripping differs substantally from 'calsic cattle mutilations in several respects.
