A Time to Love

edit

I've always loved to read novels from Greek mythology to history books on WW2 and the early church. I enjoyed reading other people's writing than putting the words on the page myself. For a long time, I never wanted anything to do with writing, because it felt more like enslavement. I loathed writing assignments in elementary and middle school because of the restricting nature of prompts that quite frankly I had no vested interest in. My other problem was a lack of interest in school. Nights were spent either watching Anime or playing video games, so my capabilities were hindered by a lack of sleep. 10th grade was the year school became important to me, and when writing became a thing of enjoyment. I took a language Arts class where the prompts were malleable, and we got to write scripts. Script writing became the best thing in the world. To be honest. the scripts were childish and made no sense, however it marked some of the best years of my life. The golden year of high school was 11 grade as writing scripts became a weekly thing for me. The class called Charger Chat allowed students to create their own original skits, and broadcast them on the school's very own T.V station. We would interview guests from all over Marysville, and during the breaks we would play our skits. The effort i put it into the scripts crafted a desire within myself to write. In another video class, I even got to act in a feature length film.[1] Writing would've still been bore if these classes were never apart of my life.
