william wilsonnew article content ...William Wilson(Bill)was born on April 9, 1918 in Rochester, Victoria, Australia. He was a studious child, and the only one in the district who could ride a horse and read a book at the same time.Bill's mother died when he was 14.

 Bill was part of the Empire training scheme in Canada during World War II. He married in Medicine Hat in 1941. Bill was a commissioned officer in the Royal Australian Air Force and received the Distinguished Flying Cross (DFC) on Hampdens(RAAF 455 Squadron) after a tour in the Russian theatre in World War II.
