Swiftlight is desktop project management software developed by Torridon Solutions. Released in 2009, Swiftlight's functionality includes the ability define project goals and deliverables, to create a timeline of activities and tasks, to assign resources, and to export outputs to PowerPoint or PDF.

PCWorld reviewed the software as generally positive for the right audience: "Swiftlight helps you manage complex projects, but doesn't include some of the more sophisticated features of Microsoft Project."[1] The interface was praised as "simple and clean" and creating and tracking projects "exceptionally easy". Other positives were the drag-and-drop functionality and multiple views. "You don't need to be an experienced project manager to use it, and you won't spend a good portion of your life learning its intricacies or updating it."[2]

PCWorld's criticism was related to the software's simplicity as well, noting that it lacks some features present in more sophisticated tools like Microsoft Project, such as creating dependencies (tasks that depends on the completion or work of another). PC world summarized: "If you have large, exceedingly complex projects, you'd be better off with a program such as Microsoft Project. But if you don't need powerful tools, then you'll find Swiftlight well worth a try. It's much easier to use than Microsoft Project, and... it's much less expensive than Microsoft Project."[3]

The review noted that Torridon is working on links between Swiftlight and Microsoft Project which would allow using Swiftlight for general planning, and Microsoft Project for more detailed management.[4] Version 1.2 was released in December 2010, available for Microsoft Windows.
