Hi everyone! I'm Paul1513 and this is my User Page. Over the past two decades, my work in science education, my interest in history and my hobby of photography have intersected in a fascination with the technology and history of the SLR camera.

I've tried to share some of that knowledge by contributing the "Chronology" section of the History of the single-lens reflex camera article. It lists, by date of production, every SLR that I'm aware of that has substantively advanced the SLR technology state-of-the-art toward what we know today - from the first SLR camera obscura of 1676 to today's digital SLRs. It also includes entries of optics peculiar to SLRs and important SLR evolutionary lines now extinct.

Some Wikipedians have wondered about my sources for the Chronology and so I have moved an updated History of the single-lens reflex camera Chronology bibliography from my Talk Page. Paul1513 (talk) 20:41, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
