Hi,

This is my user page which currently sucks however I would like to improve it and indeed contribute more constructively to wikipedia when I have the time. My name is Kenny, i'm 30, a History BA graduate of the University of Essex. I enjoy reading, mainly Literature, and sports, mainly football. I am a big fan of Arsenal F.C. I enjoy reading not just for plain enjoyment, but also as a means to enrichen, explain and reflect in a broader light my own and others experiences in life.

My favourite books are:

Birdsong by Sebastian Faulks

Charlotte Gray by sebastian Faulks

Stanlingrad by Antony Beevor

The Great War in Modern Memory by Paul Fussell

Madness and Civilization by Michel Foucault

The Politics of Experience by Ronald David Laing

Down and Out in Paris and London by George Orwell

The Road to Wigan Pier by George Orwell

Wild Swans by Jung Chang

Generation X by Douglas Coupland

Trouble in Mind by Leon F. Litwack

Fever Pitch by Nick Hornby

Slaughterhouse 5 by Kurt Vonnegut

The Fall by Albert Camus

Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky

The Idiot by Fyodor Dostoevsky

Notes From the Underground by Fyodor Dostoevsky

Here are so great quotes I'd like to share that I found elsewhere in wikipedia.

Independence? That's middle class blasphemy. We are all dependent on one another, every soul of us on earth. - George Bernard Shaw, Pygmalion

Any movement in history which attempts to perpetuate itself, becomes reactionary. - -- Josip Broz Tito

Comment VERY IMPORTANT NOTICE: This user is opposed to ads on Wikipedia.

As the banner suggests I am very strongly against advertising or commercial interests in Wikipedia, but also in academia and art in general. I dislike the dumbing down and commodifying effect commercialisation has on well, everything, and have taken a personal vow to be as disruptive to all commercial activity that intrudes on acedmic grounds as is possible!
