In 2009, Matthew left Deloitte and Touche LLP and joined March Networks Corporation (TSX: MN). Matthew was hired as Financial Analyst, Financial Reporting. With little professional experience, Matthew led the company through its conversion to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and within 8 months was promoted to Director of Finance, Financial Reporting.

Matthew left his post as Director of Financial Reporting in 2010 to take on a position with Empire Life where he currently works.
