About me edit

My name is James, born in Malden, Massachusetts on September 13, 1990. I Graduated high school in May 2008 from Coral Springs High School in Coral Springs, Fl and attended Nova Southeastern University until this past May. I am relocating back to my hometown very shortly and plan on going to UMass Boston. I love to research and enjoy writing when I get the chance. In the Past 3 month's I have started actively editing on Wikipedia and starting stub article's. My first article I tried to create was 2009 Montana plane crash which was eventually re-directed to 2009 Montana Pilatus PC-12 crash. The first article's that I really created were about American CEO's, John Chidsey, John Strangfeld, Jeffery R. Gardner, Jon L. Luther, James M. Wells, III, and David C. Novak. Then, later on I created an article on Mayor Michael J. McGlynn of Medford, Massachusetts, a city I used to live in, and The sheriff of Broward County Al Lamberti. I then realized that I could join WP:Massachusetts and try to help build and expand it. I am now pretty focused on writing and expanding articles within the walls of WP:Massachusetts.

I also use Huggle and my Rollback feature(granted by you I might add) to fight vandalism and to maintain this fabulous but enormous encyclopedia. I warn vandals and also report them to WP:AIV when necessary. I am a Newpage Patroller and tag for CSD Where I occasionally will find an article I believe can be expanded such as Larrabee Elementary School, John Archer Elmore or Anthony Marciona all of which were in some way significantly expanded or edited by me. I am here to add information which can be useful and helpful to people and to protect what other editors have built. OtisJimmyOne 06:03, 2 June 2009 (UTC)

Sounds good, thanks. –Juliancolton | Talk 17:36, 5 June 2009 (UTC)

Phase 1 edit

Getting to know you edit

  • So, why do you want to be an admin?
I enjoy vandal fighting and it would be a lot easier to just block a serial vandal instead of reporting him to AIV then waiting for an admin to block him, and in the meantime he has vandalized another five pages which have to be reverted. I also do CSD tagging in the late evening/early morning when few admins are online,(it seems) so it takes a bit of time for a tagged page to be deleted. If I were able to delete pages there wouldn't be any waiting the page would be deleted onsite. There are few too many admins to maintain such a large encyclopedia.OtisJimmyOne 06:40, 7 June 2009 (UTC)
  • Why did you choose admin coaching? What do you expect from this process?
I chose admin coaching so I can be 100% sure that I understand all the policies and guidlines related to admin work. I expect to take in the knowledge of what it takes to be not only an admin but a good one. I also hope this experience makes me a better editor all together.OtisJimmyOne 06:40, 7 June 2009 (UTC)
  • If, hypothetically, you ran for adminship now, what do you think would be the end result?
The RFA would be closed as consensus not reached because I am not active enough in certain area's like AFD and I have too many automated edits.OtisJimmyOne 06:40, 7 June 2009 (UTC)
  • When, if ever, do you plan on running for adminship?
As I've stated previously, I am in no rush. I just want to make sure I am completely competent in policy and administrative areas.OtisJimmyOne 06:40, 7 June 2009 (UTC)
