Brian Leeper is a master teacher of voice at La Musica Lirica, a five-week summer opera program in Novafeltria, Italy. Mr. Leeper joined the program in 2006 as Director of the Studio Program, and currently teaches voice at the summer academy. He was previously on the voice faculty of Operafestival di Roma in Rome, Italy, and Lutheran Summer Music Program.

In addition to his duties at La Musica Lirica, Mr. Leeper has been the Voice Area Coordinator at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater since 2004. He previously was on the vocal faculties of Butler University, Anderson University, Western Illinois University, Nebraska Wesleyan University and Doane College.

Mr. Leeper also is currently Director of Opera Workshop at UW-Whitewater, and previously held the position at Western Illinois University and Nebraska Wesleyan University. He studied opera directing at The Florida State University under Lincoln Clark.

An active recitalist and opera artist, Mr. Leeper has performed over 20 operatic roles with houses in the United States and Italy, Including Operafestival di Roma, The Cleveland Orchestra, Muddy River Opera, The Quad Cities Handel Society, The Peoria Bach Festival, Southern Opera Theater and the Blossom Festival Opera.

Mr. Leeper holds degrees from Luther College, The University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and is currently a candidate for the DM in Voice Performance at The Florida State University, where he studied voice with Yvonne Ciannella and Roy Delp. Previous teachers include Marlena Malas, Sherrill Milnes, Herald Stark and David Judisch. Mr. Leeper is currently on the Executive Board of the Wisconsin Chapter of NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing.) He is also a member of the College Music Society.
