History: Nzaui is a region in lower eastern Kenya, deriving its' name from a famous tall hill in the heart of Makueni county.It's a region synonymous with early missionary activities by Peter Cameron Scott, fruit farming (mangoes, oranges, pawpaws, watermelons) and small scale farm activities. Religion: From a deeply traditional practice of religion before the 1900, the region has now settled largely on christianity as the mainstream faith. The traditional way of worship involved libations and dances referred as (Kilumi) at the shrines (Mathembo) where people invoked the names of spirits and ancestors. Administration: The area named is currently (as at 2013) district with the head quarters at Matiliku shopping center.
