Songwriter DELORES BURKE PERKINS (born September 21,1937) was a talented lyricist and vocalist in the 1960's soul music era. She was also the former wife[1] of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Solomon Burke.She wrote or co-wrote "Be Bop Grandma", "Got To Get You Off Of My Mind"[2][3][4], "I'm Not Afraid", "It's All right"[5], "Keep Looking", "Suddenly", and "This Little Ring", among many other unpublished works. She also sang backing vocals on several of Burke's early songs.

The single was produced by Jerry Wexler,and was the most successful of Burke's long career, becoming his highest-charting single on both the R&B and pop singles charts.
