I'm an archivist and historian whose area of expertise is the history of medicine in New York City. I'm here to improve the scope and reliability of Wikipedia's coverage of this subject. This means that I'm also interested in improving Wikipedia's coverage of the history of medicine outside of New York City, and its coverage of the history of New York City outside of medicine.

I'm also interested in literary and cultural history, particularly as it relates to the history of the United States in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Free time permitting, I might contribute to articles on those topics as well.

Potential COI Disclosure edit

I am currently (2024) employed by New York Medical College as their archivist and institutional historian.

I am not paid specifically to edit Wikipedia, but the scope of my job includes maintaining an accurate online presence for the College's historical record. I sometimes come across factual errors in Wikipedia that require correction, typically due to confusion with other institutions with similar names. I'm using this account to correct these errors and to retroactively sign my previous edits.

To avoid potential conflicts of interest, I don't edit pages about living NYMC physicians or the current activities of the College. However, I may use this account to improve the quality of pages about historic faculty and alumni. If you're an experienced Wikipedia editor and think any of my contributions violate WP:COI, please let me know.

I have no conflicts of interest regarding history of medicine subjects unrelated to NYMC, or to any other subject.
