I've decided that I'm going to try to update all of the DC Mayoral candidates (partially because I want good coverage, and possibly because it will probably decide to help me who to vote for). Below are sources I've compiled for the purpose of this. All sources are WaPo unless otherwise noted.

  • Summary: Evans felt that "Williams nor Chavous deserved the teachers union endorsement" of the teachers union because they failed to successfully "exercise diligent oversight of the school system, which ran a $62 million deficit". Wanted change to the city charter from congress to give the mayor power to hire and fire school superintendent.

  • Summary: Jack Evans said there had "not been a tectonic shift" since 1992, meaning that it'd be incredibly tough for Williams to be defeated in reelection.
