Robin McGraw, originally Robin Jameson, was born on December 28, 1953, and grew up in Oklahoma, USA. McGraw is an American television personality, philanthropist, and two-time #1 New York Times bestselling author and entrepreneur[1] She is the wife of Phil McGraw, widely known as Dr. Phil, and has made regular appearances on The Dr. Phil Show since its debut in 2002[2]. She is the mother of Jordan McGraw and Jay McGraw.

Television Appearances edit

Following the success of The Dr. Phil Show, McGraw gained celebrity status. She appeared on Entertainment Tonight in 1981, The Insider in 2004, and Celebrity Family Feud in 2008[3]. She has also been a guest on talk shows including, The Doctors, Access Hollywood, and CBS Los Angeles, and has been featured multiple times on The Oprah Winfrey Show.

McGraw most frequently appears as an audience member and guest on The Dr. Phil Show, where she speaks about her skincare company and charitable initiatives.

McGraw has starred as herself in an episode of The Bold and the Beautiful drama series in 2009[4].

When Georgia Smiled: The Robin McGraw Foundation edit

In October 2013, McGraw launched her own charitable foundation called When Georgia Smiled. The foundation's mission is to help victims of domestic violence and sexual assault[5]. The charity also focuses on humanitarian issues including children in foster care, as well as disaster relief[6].

The foundation's inaugural program, The Aspire Initiative, is a domestic violence program which aims to reduce relationship violence in the U.S.[5]. The charity has also launched the #iAspire Campus Challenge, with the goal of raising awareness of sexual assault on university campuses across the United States. This initiative also highlights student initiatives to prevent domestic violence[5].

The Dr. Phil Foundation edit

McGraw serves as a board member of The Dr. Phil Foundation which raises funds to fight childhood obesity[7]. The non-profit organization also supports programs that address the emotional, physical, mental and spiritual needs of children and families[1].

Robin McGraw has written two #1 New York Times bestselling books. McGraw released her first book, Inside My Heart: Choosing to Live with Passion and Purpose, in 2006. It covers her philosophies and life choices, and advises women about developing greater satisfaction with themselves, their professions, and their family life[5].

Following her first book, she then wrote From My Heart to Yours[5].

In January 2009, McGraw released her second #1 New York Times best-seller called What’s Age Got to Do With It? It shares her experiences in the areas of fitness, nutrition, skincare, menopause, hair, makeup and fashion[5].

Her most recent book is Christmas In My Heart and Home[5].

Robin McGraw Revelation: Luxury Skincare Collection edit

In 2016, McGraw launched Robin McGraw Revelation’s Luxury Skincare Collection. The collection includes moisturizers, cleansers, treatments, exfoliators, and sheet masks[8]. These products focus on reducing visible aging of the skin. The products are free of harmful chemicals, and are formulated without animal testing[8].

Products in this collection have been featured in The New York Times, Redbook, Allure, Los Angeles Times, People Magazine, and more[8].

Personal Life edit

Robin met her husband when she was in high school and he was in college[9]. The couple married in August 1976. Their first son, Jay, was born in 1979, and their second child, Jordan, was born in 1986. Her family now includes daughter-in-law Erica Dahm, a member of the famous Playboy Triplets, and two grandchildren, Avery Elizabeth and London Phillip[5].
