This page is considered a tragedy on Wikipedia. It illustrates standards of conduct, which many editors abhor. However, it is not policy. Feel free to update the page as needed, but please use the discussion page any new rules (to ignore.
Wikipedia, in essence, has one rule: ignore all rules.

All of the other rules of Wikipedia are logically derived from that one. (Don't ask how. It's too complex for you.)

So, with that in mind: here are a few rules you can utterly ignore.

Rule #1. Before you edit, please remember to complain as much as possible.

Those editors who have been on this project long enough know that you are supposed to write things like "this article is abysmal" or "...is a disgrace to all of the work we have accomplished on wikipedia". Writing like this really re-enforces the community spirit. Under no conditions should you ever make a major edit without first spending two weeks discussing it in talk. If at all possible start an edit war. Thank You.

Rule #2. When including spoilers such as X kills Y, or spoilers like Seigenthaler killed Kennedy, remember to use a {{spolier}} tag. Thank You.

Rule #3.

Licence to vandalize
I agree to license my eligible text contributions, unless otherwise stated, to the highest bidder and sell my soul if necessary. Please be aware that other contributors probably aren't into that kind thing, so if you want to... y'know..., please check the multi-licensing guide. Thank You.

Rule #5.: Be as smart as Jimbo.

Jimmy Wales on C-Span's "Q & A" with Brian Lamb.

Thank You.

Rule #6. was instituted on July 26, 2005 when someone at Meta nominated Don't be a dick for deletion. Since then, I have always felt that it was okay to:

Be a dick.Thank you.

Rule #7:The path to a Featured Article Removal
  1. Start a new article
  2. Research and write a great article
  3. Cite none of your sources
  4. Forget to check against the featured article criteria
  5. Put on Featured Article Candidates
  6. Get shot down with seven opposes in 20 minutes.
  7. Get pissed off.
  8. Take down your user page and leave the project.
  9. Come back months later and find some admin finished your article and got it promoted.
  10. Vandalize the article until it gets removed.
  11. Thank You.

Rule #8.

Unsolved problems in Rule #10: How the hell does No Parking intend to keep this funny? It's not even funny now. Why does he do it? Thank You.
