Idaho Falls School of Ballet

edit

Idaho Falls School of Ballet (IFSB) is one of the leading dance curriculums in Idaho, according to the Post Register [1]. The company was established in 1994 by Deborah Bean after she retired from dancing with the Harriette Ann Gray Dance Company and Ballet Oregon[2]. IFSB dancers have gone on to train with Joffrey Ballet, Ballet West, Ballet Magnificat! and Oregon Ballet Theatre[3][4]. IFSB has the only Master Teacher Program for dance in the state of Idaho [5]. The program brings in well established dance teachers from around the country, including Jeffrey Scott Bailey [6], Lisa Bostwick[7], Liuba Kosireva Paterson[8] and Jennifer Martin [9]. Their website states the Master Teacher Program is designed to fosters adaptability and professionalism in their students as well as connects IFSB to the national dance community[10]. Though IFSB is primarily a training program, the company does offer between 2-4 performances a year [11][12]. IFSB was recently featured as the cover story in Idaho Falls Magazine[13] and discussed on KID Newsradio[14] [15][16].
