Michael H. Evans

edit

Michael Evans, previous a technology and political executive, in 2005 went on vacation to Mendoza, Argentina. While there, he was inspired by the quality of the wines, and intrigued by Mendoza’s wine culture. Shortly after meeting his business partner Pablo Gimenez Riili, they formed The Vines of Mendoza together.[1]

With Riili, Evans raised money from friends and family and purchased 900 acres of land in the Uco Valley, and created The Vines of Mendoza’s private vineyard estates. [2] [3]

Evans and Riili also established The Vines of Mendoza Tasting Room that provides 100 Argentine wines in one location. The Acequia Wine Club and The Vines Online Wine Store were also established at that time. [4] [5]

Evans was also Executive Director of CTIA Foundation, an international association for the wireless telecommunications industry. He also ran business development for iNetnow[6], a start-up Web-based concierge service in 2000. Evans is also a photographer[7].
