Pace is an electronics lifestyle brand that was formed in Kenya in 2017. Founded by Larry Liu, he partnered with Jibril Blessing to establish the Brand whose tagline is "Keep your Own Pace." Mr Liu said that “Keep your own PACE” is a simple but powerful reminder to everyone to find their own pace in life and strive to keep it up and true to it, they launched PACE focus headphones in September 2017 and subsequently PACE mate sport earphones in December 2017.[1]

“I love the country so much, I loved the music, I loved the creativity. And I thought actually, if we have the right channel, this can be very popular” according to Kiss 100 news article. [2][3]

Pace Focus edit

The first Headset that was rolled out was the iconic Pace Focus which is a Bluetooth/ Wireless headphone that boasts of 35 hours of battery life. After its launch, the headphones easily spread as a must have items by Kenyans.Their key strategy for creating Brand Awareness was through celebrity marketing.[4] [5]

The Pace Focus is black and grey in colour.

Pace Mate edit

According to techweez.com a leading electronics blog in Kenya, Pace in collaboration with Skyward Express, a Kenyan domestic airline, launched a new set of Bluetooth earphones dubbed Pace Mate mid-flight, to the amusement of the airline passengers. The launch happened during a Morning flight from Nairobi to Eldoret and an afternoon flight from Nairobi to Mombasa where they [Pace] gave complementary sets of earphones to the crew and passengers aboard these flights.

Coke Studio Partnership 2019 edit

Pace became one of the sponsors for the years edition of Coke Studio africa. According to a press stataement released towards that effect, Monali Shah, Head of Content Excellence, for Coca-Cola Southern and East African Business Unit said that they were very excited to have some new partners come on board to join us as we make great music from Africa to the world. Dusit D2 shall be our official hospitality partner for this new season. As a very progressive hotel that fully embraces the arts we are glad that they have come on board to join us in this journey.” She added, “Pace Africa, who design and manufacture an array of audio devices such as PACE FOCUS and PACE MATE will power up the sound for the season providing us with headphones and earphones both for the production and for some of our lucky consumers.” [7]
