Lakehead University

edit

I noticed you're doing some edits to Lakehead University and I want to give you a couple tips. First, find references. If you see any links that look like this: [1], try to make it into a reference. See WP:CITE

Also, for the styling and formatting of the article, look to better examples like University of Toronto to see how they are written, to improve the LU article.

Keep up the good work. Vidioman 19:36, 13 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

When altering the infobox, use this page as a reference: Template:Infobox University

Lakehead University Summer Campus images

edit

Hi there. I notice that you've uploaded an image from the Wikimedia Commons (Image:Lakehead University Summer Campus.jpg) to the local server here at the English Wikipedia (as Image:Lakehead University Summer Campus2.jpg). This is unnecessary: all images on the Commons can be linked to here in the same way as local images. You might like to read Help:Images and other uploaded files and Wikipedia:Extended image syntax if you're having trouble with the syntax.

The copy at Commons is available to all Foundation projects and so is more useful. You can tag the two local copies for deletion, using {{Db-author}}. Staeckerbot (see above) may also detect and tag the copies as duplicates. — mholland (talk) 18:58, 12 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Here are some helpful links to assist developing the LU article.

If you put these links on your userpage they'll always be just a click away. :)

Thanks Vidioman. The Facts and Stats section should be integrated perhaps with new sections created for common themes. I will add this to my to-do list. Nganga2 (talk) 20:00, 4 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Great. :) Don't forget to look at other university articles to see what other people have done in the past. :) vıdıoman (talkcontribs) 20:18, 4 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
