"Big Moose Da Pro" born Aaron Phillip Mitchell in the city of Pittsburgh Pa July 19 1972 to parents Mr Randolph and Dolores Mitchell he was 2nd born of five children 2 brothers and two sisters. Big Moose's life started off normal enough as apart of a big family of very talented siblings as well as a family history in the music industry by way of his father Randolph & uncle Sam Mitchell whom they lost before Big Moose was born. the brothers along with other group mates released music and performed all over Pittsburgh.
While very good at music and as well as being liked locally the group never took off for many reasons, but mainly due being poor with no real music industry support in Pittsburgh at the time Big Moose started rapping and producing music in the Northview Heights Housing Projects at 13 yrs old. Northview Heights was a very rough place to grown up but Big Moose used this to build his very unique music style highly skilled and able to mimic any rap flow fast or slow dark or light deep or funny a true one of a kind talent.
Big Moose's solo run in music took an interesting turn tha shook up the whole hood the OG rapper in this particular hood was Timmy Lee hes was as real as it get real street cred from years of street violence murders drug dealing ect.but timmy had a talent for music that got him a demo session at Def Jam where the recorded Timmy's hood classic, {ALL ACROSS THE WHOLE CITY} and just like that a rival was born. Big Moose at this time was winning rap battles one after the next but this confrontation would prove whom was best. A mutual friend Anthony Grace aka "Mc Cheese" set up a battle between these two, the battle was epic back and forth bar for bar verse for verse no one could out rap the other it was a draw.
Big Moose was very up-set because he felt timmy got a draw because of his street rep Big Moose thought most people were afraid of Timmy Lee so they kept more quiet during his parts plus these two were on fire and everyone new it but the street where this battle was taking place was Timmy's home Turf
deep in the NVH Housing Projects. Weeks after the battle something happened Big Moose had impressed "Timmy's uncle and Ceo Ed Bivins", Ed seen the up side of these two great talents teaming up Mr Bivins simply said "GET HIM LOCKED IN TO OUR CREW" and we can take over Pittsburgh.
Needless to say Timmy was pissed off because he felt live he was all they needed to go national but after a chance meeting after the battle where big moose and Timmy met up at a party talked and were almost instantly family brothers from different mothers Ed on the other hand was focused so he found big moose and asked him to work on a project together with Timmy at Fat Crayon Records in Wilkinsburg, Pa.
After years of rapping on the streets Big Moose Da Pro was booked for three big shows in the winter first at The Cabanna Club in Mc Keys Rocks Pa opening up for K-Solo with his new group "UNN" UP NORTH NIGGAS followed up by The "EAST LIBERTY COMMUNITY" day the MLK Center in East Pittsburgh & and finally the ghetto boys at the Pittsburgh Civic Arena downtown Pgh.
