User:NeoJade/Addressing the human rights issues in Russia

Dear Russian participants of all Wikipedias

We, those who have signed this letter, and the greater English Wikipedia stand by your side whilst we are shook by the actions took by law enforcement against our colleagues.[1]

Echoing the words of the Russian Wikipedians to Ukrainian Colleagues; Wikipedia is a community, a community where maybe we don't speak the same language or don't live in the same country, but no matter what, we all work as one. We all are different, but indifferent with our objective on Wikpedia, to stop misinformation at the source and provide verifiable and reliable information on all varieties of topics, we together have made the most diverse and popular encyclopedia in the modern world.[2]

We stand with those who are being arrested for posting valid, verifiable and reliable information and those who are worried, scared and distraught at the chances of them being arrested for posting such information, not just on Russian Wikipedia, but on all Wikipedias.

We would like to also applaud those internally at Wikimedia and all those who are admin or higher on their respective wiki, for protecting the users and even after Russia threatened to ban Wikipedia,[3] staying strong to the core existence of Wikpedia, to provide a free, modern encyclopedia to all, if you have any concerns of safety, please feel free to contact wikipedia admins on your respective wikipedia, the Human Rights Team via email: talktohumanrights@wikimedia.org or contact Trust and Safety if the threat to your safety is immediate.

Signed:
