Novoplatonovka edit

Novoplatonovka (Russian: Новоплатоновка) - village, Borova village council, Borovskoy district, Kharkiv region, Ukraine. According to the 2001 census, the population is 460 (189/271 m / f) people.

Geographical position edit

Village Novoplatonovka is located on the left bank of the Oskol reservoir (Oskol river). The village is separated from the reservoir by a strip of 1 km of large forest (pine). Borova village is located 3 km away. Nearby there is a car road T-2109 and railway (the nearest station is Platonovka)

History edit

  • 1910 - the village was founded by settlers from the Yekaterinoslav[1][2] region. The village is named in honor of Platon Kalnitsky, a confidant of the landowner Sofia Nikolaevna Pekhovskaya, who sold her land to immigrants. Among them:

Economy edit

  • Odnorebrovsky Bay and adjacent shallow waters in the central part of the reservoir and on its left bank between the village of Novoplatonovka and Borovaya is one of the main spawning grounds and a feeding ground for commercial fish. Area - 90 hectares[4][5].
  • The gas compressor station "Borova" is located a few kilometers away[6].
