Definition: Change in the statistical properties of the climate system when considered over long periods of time, regardless of cause

May factors contribute to the progression of climate change, including both internal and external factors. Internal forcing mechanisms include ocean atmosphere variability and life; examples of ocean atmosphere variability include El-niño southern oscillation and the pacific decadal oscillation. Examples of life affecting climate change include carbon and water cycles [1]. External forcing mechanisms include orbital variations including Milankovitch cycles, solar output, volcanism, tectonic plates and human influences.

Physical evidence supports the fact that climate change is prevalent, this evidence includes temperature measurements and proxies, glaciers, vegetation, pollen analysis, sea level changes and much more

Regional Effects of Global Warming Article:

Definition: long-term significant changes in the expected patterns of average weather of a specific region due to global warming.

Global warming has impacted Africa; by 2050, hundreds of millions of people are expected to experience water stress due to climate change. In the Artic and Antartic, thickness of glaciers and ice sheets are expected to be decreased due to climate change. In Asia, climate change is expected to decrease the availability of fresh water which can lead to negative impacts on agriculture and life.

Many regional areas are projected to be affected by climate change, some areas worse than others due to their particular locations. Climate change is also predicted to cause changes in ocean effects and tropical surface temperature as well.
