The Alexandria Choral Society is a choral ensemble located in Alexandria, VA. The chorus consists of soprano, alto, tenor and bass voices, (SATB). The chorus preforms from four to six concerts a year mainly in Alexandria and occasionally in Washington DC.
The chorus' artistic excellence and contribution to its community has been generously recognized by twice receiving the coveted ALEX Award from the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce.
Founded in 1970, The Alexandria Choral Society aspires to enhance the cultural life of the city of Alexandria and surrounding communities by presenting engaging musical programs at the highest artistic level.
In 2009 Brian Gendron joined as the chorus' Artistic Director. Danielle DeSwert Hahn is the chorus' accompanist.

Members
editAuditions
editTo become a member of the chorus, members must audition, be selected and pay dues. Audition Form Membership dues are $250 per singer.
Rehearsals
editCurrently the chorus meets on Tuesday evenings at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Alexandria, VA. Typically from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM.
