Myeonghan Yu, also just Han, is a saxophonist currently residing in Boston. He moved to Boston from South Korea to study at the Berklee College of Music in 2012. Yu started playing instruments at a young age; Yu’s mother introduced him to the piano at age 7. After 5 years on the classical piano, Yu challenged himself by learning how to play the cello.

His passion for music did not stop at the cello. At age 19, Yu fell in love with jazz. Now Yu plays saxophone exclusively. The saxophone is a medium of many different genres including gospel, Latin sounds, R&B, smooth, and pop, though there is always an underlying jazz theme.

Currently (2013-2014), Yu is committed to creating new and unique sounds by composing his own music.
