Najmidin Qarluq
editNajmidin Qarluq (Uyghur: نەجمىدىن شىرىف قارلۇق); He is a Uighur politician and entrepreneur who advocates for an independent East Turkestan and the formation of an exile government also through a multi-party parliament. He emphasizes the importance of inclusive political institutions and political representation. He is founder of First East Turkistan Diaspora Political Party East Turkistan Republican.
Biography
editNajmidin Qarluq [1] was born in 1974. In October 1988 while in high school, he was jailed in Aqsu Aral prison for founding the “East Turkistan Scouting Organization” and posting flyers with slogans that calling for independent East Turkistan. He was released in 1991 after serving 3 years sentence.
He was arrested again in April 1992 for planning to create “East Turkistan Development Party” in collaboration with organizations such as "Tangnuri" in Kuchar County and the "Blue Wolf" in Aksu. He was sentenced for five and half year and forced to work in various prisons such as Tarim (Shayar), SaksanTam (Kuchar) and Turpan Eastlake Prison. After his release from prison in 1997, he has become a successful entrepreneur in the field of computer design.
He left his homeland in 2016 and arrived in Belgium to seek asylum. Lives in Brussels.[2]In 2019 he was in Brussels to establish the East Turkistan Republican Party.
