Croftcroy is a Clava cairn in Inverness-shire, Scotland. It is dated to the neolithic age and is thought to have been surrounded by a stone circle, although only one stone remains.[1] Clava cairns are tombs only found in Inverness-shire and - YELLOWBOOK
Another theory is that Croftcroy paired with another cairn, Torrdaroch, at an easy river crossing and that travellers would have rested at the cairns.[2]
A modern house was built next to the cairn, which is enclosed by fence of the back garden. In 2015, the house and garden were put up for sale for £270,000. Regarding the tomb, the owner said "I love it, but my wife absolutely hates it. She wants a proper garden outside the kitchen."[3]
