Mark Skilton

Mark is currently Global Director, Strategy Group, Global Infrastructure Services, Capgemini, an international consulting, technology and outsourcing company. He has 25 years experience in IT and business consultancy in external and internal roles in companies including KPMG, CSC and Capgemini and specialist consultancy and blue chip companies including: Fmcg , Multimedia, Finance,Transport, Utilities and Public Sector. He has conducted engagements in Europe, America, India, Malaysia and Australia and has been European CTO, Chief Architect, Solutions Director, Change Program Transformation Director, Center of Excellence Director, Global Community Leader , Business Analyst and Programmer. His current role in Capgemini is in strategic planning of three year business and CIO plans for new global service offering in portfolio strategy for IT and Business consulting, outsourcing and offshoring. He is also the inter-discipline lead for the global government cloud propositions. Mark is elected co-chair of the cloud computing work group, The Open Group, an international standards body for business and technology architecture. He has recently been an editor of a book on Cloud Computing for Business published through The Open Group and has spoken internationally on cloud computing, business models and monetization strategies. He is co-founder of SyntheticSpheres.com a foundation for new business and technology models. Mark is a graduate of Sheffield and Cambridge Universities and holds an MBA from Warwick University Business School.
