Professor Sanya Dojo Onabamiro Santa Dojo Onabamiro was born in Ago-Iwoye, Nigeria.
In 2010, he was recognized by the Nigerian Liquified Natural Gas company for his 1950s work on the taxonomy and lifecycle of cyclops vectors of the guineaworm disease, and laying the foundation for the eradication of the disease from southern Nigeria.
