Neil Mosley (born 28 August 1969) is an English former professional snooker player.
Career
editBorn in 1969, Mosley turned professional in 1993. He reached the last 64 stage of two ranking events over the next four years, both of which came during the 1994/1995 season. In the 1995 International Open, Mosley defeated Mark Whatley, Lee Marney, Lee Richardson, Joe Delaney and veteran Eddie Charlton in one of Charlton's final matches, before losing 0–5 to John Parrott. In the British Open of the same year, he lost 2–5 to Mick Price.
These performances improved Mosley's world ranking to 152nd for the 1995/1996 season, but in 1997, he lost his place on the tour. He spent the 1997/1998 season attempting to re-qualify as a professional, but, winning only two matches in five events, was unsuccessful in doing so.
Incidentally, the second of those victories was against Alex Higgins; Mosley won 5–1, and Higgins did not play at professional or minor-ranking level again. As such, the encounter is notable as both Mosley's final win and Higgins' final match.
