About me edit

Hey! I'm Monica Z, your guide on this African Safari I call my user page! I decided to theme my page like an African safari, since Africa is where the heart is.

Web Safari animal #1: The Cheetah edit

On your right, you will see that we are approaching a Cheetah. Cheetahs are the world's fastest land animal. Even in a short distance, Cheetahs can sprint up to 70 mph! Another cool thing about cheetahs is that their species name comes from an Indian word meaning "spotted one." You'll never hear a cheetah roar, but they might purr, hiss whine or growl. One thing that most people don't know about them is that they have a lot of different contact calls; and a common contact call is a birdlike chirping!

Web Safari animal #2: The Elephant edit

Woah! Now on your left, you can see a few elephants wandering around. One of the coolest parts of an elephant has to be their muscular trunk! They can use it as a nose, hand, spare foot, signaling device and it's also good for gathering food, dusting and digging! Also, they can consume five percent of their body weight and drink thirty to fifty gallons of water a day! Elephants are also known for their high level of intelligence, fascinating behavior, ways of communicating and their complex social systems.

Web Safari animal #3: The Zebra edit

Well, it's been a great time here are my Web Safari! Sadly, this is our last species we will see here at the Safari. Look at your right to see some Zebras. Zebras are famous for their striped appearance, as you may know. Zebras have great eyesight, so it is believed that they can see in color. And just like dogs, Zebras' ears can show how they feel! For example, when it's scared, its ears usually push forward! I'm sorry... I'm afraid we've run out of time for the Safari, but please come again and remember to send a post card to your friends from the gift shop!
