Dr Mitchell was educated at Victoria College, Jersey. He studied medicine at the University of Southampton from 1987 to 1992. After completing general medical training he commenced specialist training in cardiology in 1997.

Experience

Experience in the management all common acute and chronic cardiac conditions with particular expertise in the management of patients with heart rhythm disorders, heart failure and patients with coronary heart disease.

Has personally perfomed over 1000 diagnostic cardiac catheterization and over 100 implantable cardioverter-defibrillator procedures.

Sub-speciality skills include transoesophageal echocardiography and intracardiac echocardiography.

Over 120 published papers, articles, abstracts, books and book chapters.
