George Jay Brooks (born 1956) is an American saxophone player known for his work in Indian Jazz fusion.
Born in New York, he attended The New England Conservatory of Music where he received a bachelor in music, specializing in Saxophone.
He studied under Pandit Pran Nath with whom he learned about Indian classical music. He has worked with many musicians such as Terry Riley, Steve Smith (musician), Zakir Hussain (musician), Fareed Haque and many others.
