Jordan Christian Hamilton is a men's college basketball player for the University of Texas. He plays the Forward position.

High School

edit

Hamilton did not play his freshman year as a 13-year old at Susan Miller Dorsey High School, but repeated the year and averaged 8.3 points a game.

Hamilton averaged 26 points, 7 assists, and 8 rebounds his sophmore year.

He transferred to Dominguez High School after his sophmore year and averaged 27.6 points and 11.1 rebounds leading Dominguez to a 32-3 mark as the state Division I runner-up. He also participated in the CIF Southern Section Division I-AA Championship and recorded 16 points and 7 rebounds in a 63-60 win in the I-AA title game against Mater Dei (the number 1 team in the state then).

He participated in the Elite 24 prep all-star game at Rucker Park the summer after his junior year. He was unable to play his senior season because the California Interscholastic Foundation ruled he could not have a fifth year of eligibility. He played in the Jordan Brand Classic game at Madison Square Garden for the Black team and recorded 8 points, 4 assists, and 4 rebounds in a 110-103 win over the White team.[1]

College Career

edit

After his senior season, ESPNU had him ranked as the 8th best college prospect.
