Who am I?

edit

Maayong adlaw kaninyo! I am Dominic.

I am here in Wikipedia to help expand pages concerning the Greater Kidapawan Area, and help edit pages on other topics I know.

a Statistics graduate

edit

On 9 July 2024, I graduated and finally obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Statistics in the University of the Philippines in the Visayas. In my senior high school, I have also attended the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) strand from Kidapawan City National High School. For this reason, I have some background in Statistics, Science, and Maths.

a heritage advocate

edit

In 2022, I was made a member of the Kidapawan City History and Heritage Research Team, in which I was the youngest member and the Point Person for Settler Research.[1] At the height of the pandemic in 2020, I co-founded the Youth Society on Kidapawan Heritage with my best friend. With this these two groups, I have worked closely with the writer, Karlo Antonio Galay David, who had been my mentor and who had been working on Kidapawan History for many years.[2] For that, I have a background on the history and heritage of Kidapawan and you may encounter my name in pages connected to these topics. You may also see me on pages about Kidapawan's sister, daughter and granddaughter towns.

an aspiring polyglot

edit

I can speak fluently in four languages, and can hold basic conversation in three. I grew up with two native languages (Hiligaynon and Sinugbuanong Binisaya), and learned at school the another two (Tagalog and English). Meanwhile, I can understand basic French, Dutch, and Spanish. Aside from these seven, I am also trying to learn other languages, both foreign and local.
