REAPER (Rapid Environment for Audio Production, Engineering, and Recording) is a Digital Audio Workstation created by Cockos. It is distributed as shareware. It is currently available for Windows (98/ME/2000/XP/Vista) and Wine, with beta versions for Windows 64-bit edition and Mac OS X available. Version 2 of REAPER was released on October 10, 2007.

REAPER supports plug-in APIs such as VST, VSTi, DX, DXi and also integrates the company's own plug-in and FX scripting API, Jesusonic. REAPER can furthermore function both as a ReWire slave and host. It ships with a host of native FX plug-ins. Another feature is its ReaMote application that allows the user to use the CPU power of a second PC to process plug-ins over a local area network.

REAPER is an alternative to popular Digital Audio Workstation software such as Pro Tools, Cubase, Logic Pro, Cakewalk Sonar, Sony Vegas, SAW Studio, ACID Pro and FL Studio.
