Rosemarie Dumadara Koerner is a Filipino-American businesswoman, philanthropist, and community leader. She is the owner of New America Realty, a real estate brokerage, and MD International Marketing Group, Inc., a loan company based in California.
EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION
Rosemarie Dumadara Koerner was born and raised in Dipaculao, Aurora Province, Philippines, an area known as the birthplace of Philippine Commonwealth President Manuel Luis Quezon and the filming location of the award-winning film "Apocalypse Now." She is the eldest of three children. Koerner graduated from Centro Escolar University, where she was an academic scholar and received a Bronze Medal for Extra-Curricular and Co-Curricular Activities. She earned a degree in Mass Communications with a major in Broadcasting while working as a tutor and student assistant.
CAREER
After graduation, Koerner began her career at Probe Productions, Inc., a documentary production company affiliated with GMA-Channel 7 in the Philippines. Shortly thereafter, she emigrated to the United States, where she initially worked as a waitress and cashier before establishing herself in the real estate and finance sectors. Koerner is a licensed real estate broker and investor, actively involved in her community as a liturgical minister at St. Mary's Parish in Santa Maria, California, and Jesus Our Risen Savior in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
Koerner has expanded her business ventures to include ownership of the Philippines Dream Team and Harvest Restaurant Bar & Café. These enterprises reflect her diverse interests and commitment to both the business and cultural communities.
In addition to her business endeavors, Koerner is a dedicated philanthropist. She supports various charitable organizations, including the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Disabled American Veterans, and the Salvation Army, among others. She also financially supports underprivileged college students in the Philippines and oversees the MD International Foundation (MDIF), which conducts annual outreach programs in her hometown. Recent initiatives include a Feeding Program and the distribution of bibles and rosaries to families in Bayanihan, Maria Aurora, and to inmates at the Aurora Provincial Jail. Koerner serves as a Director of the Aurora-Inter Organizational Alliance, a group for migrants from Aurora Province, and previously held roles as an Ambassador for the Chambers of Commerce of Santa Maria Valley and as Secretary for the Filipino-American Association of Santa Maria Valley and Vicinity.
MEDIA PRODUCTION
Koerner has also made her mark in the entertainment industry as the executive producer of the action film "Umbag" and the music videos "Don't You Know?" and "3:33". These productions, directed by Tony Reyes and starring and composed by her daughter, Filipino-American artist Marie Flows, have been entered into multiple international film festivals. Koerner's work in media production highlights her commitment to supporting emerging talent and promoting Filipino culture on a global stage.
PERSONAL LIFE
Rosemarie Dumadara Koerner is married to Conrad Melvin Koerner, a retired United States Air Force veteran. She has one daughter, Marie Dumadara, who is a licensed Realtor, artist, and musician.
AWARDS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Koerner's accomplishments in beauty pageants include winning the Miss Dipaculao title in 1991 and 1992, and participating in the Miss Aurora contest in 1993. In 2015, she represented the Philippines in the Mrs. Asia-USA pageant in Redondo Beach, California, where she received the Humanitarian Award. In 2021, she participated in the Mrs. Philippines-Universe competition.[1], representing Aurora Province and winning the title of Mrs. Pearl of the Orient 2021[2]. Koerner has been featured in several publications, including Ganap International[3], Fashion Art Media[4], and Legacy One Luxury Magazine[5]
