Killer School Girls from Outer Space is 2011 American comedy horror sci-fi film written and directed by Alexander Shumake, and produced by Bill Shumake, his father, as the first feature production from their Austin, Texas based Angry Nun Productions.[1][2]

Synopsis

When a shoooting star lands near a small Texas town, teenage couple Ben (Donny Boaz) and Allison (Denise Williamson) discover that it is actually a flying saucer piloted by three "Killer School Girls from outer space" whose mission is to destroy the earth. The two stuggle to save their small town and the world from the three.

Killer School Girls is the first film of Angry Nun Productions, a company founded by Bill Shumake and his son Alexander Shumake,[3] Shooting began July 2009 in Austin, Texas[4] and included locations in Flatonia, Muldoon, and Taylor.[5] The project was inspired by the Roger Corman style of film,[6] with director Shumake's biggest influences for the film being The Blob, The Giant Gila Monster, and Teenagers from Outer Space.[7] The film entered post production in August, 2009.[3]

Release

Killer School Girls was released on May 24, 2011.[8] The film's DVD package is unique in that the second disk is meant for use in a computer, and contains tutorials covering the various types of digital effects, lighting, color correction and compositing used in the film, as well as downloadable programs for use by students and filmmakers.[5][3]
